We all know that warm up exercises are in fact there to help prevent injuries and keep you physically fit. Warm up exercises before getting into your round of golf can tremendously reduce your chances of getting injuries. They can help prevent your hips and your elbows as well as any other injuries that most of the golfers may get. Doing warm up exercises ensures the golfer that the pressure that may be involved in playing the game is in fact reduced. Playing golf with some of your cold muscles is the main reason for aches and pains in your muscles especially at an old age. This can dramatically increase any chances of further injuries in your muscles and joints.

Senior golfers should not exert themselves when exercising as their age would certainly not permit them to. You can not be among those golfers who come to play a round and pull a BIG DOG and take a few hacks and then try to start your rounds. You need to be honest with you. Are you one among those? Certainly not, because if you had been one of those then you sure can bet that you may never get the results that you want. Instead you should try to perform simple golf warm up exercises so that your muscles may be tuned for all the twist and turns.

Just remember you are playing the game of golf and not football. There is a lot of difference between the two. You need little warm up so that you don’t feel the pressure in the muscles while playing the game. Some of the most flexible golf exercises are certainly not the ones you may find in the fitness golf books. These books certainly are for young golfers. I made this statement because I have been through most of them and I could never find anything that is related to senior golfers. Just remember that whatever exercise you do your age is the prime consideration. You can try going through some of the books that are printed for senior golfers or the best option would be to get the help of some professional trainer.

Flexibility is what you have to develop. This is the prime reasons why most of the pro golfers don’t join fitness programs as they are very much flexible. Just remember that if your core is inflexible then you can not swing back fully and you may never get a distance shot.

Golf stretching exercises are certainly designed for golfers of all age especially senior golfers. These exercises can help you with great deal in strengthening and at the same time conditioning your muscles. So try doing more of these stretching exercises and you can notice the difference in your play. By stretching golf specific muscles you are in fact reducing the pressure that you may be putting on your muscles. At the same time you are improving the tendons that join these muscles. You are strengthening the bone of your body around the elbow area.

You can perform these exercises anywhere at home or your office. You can even get warm up done before going for your round. This is the best option for playing the best game of golf.
