Expert Golf Tips For The Senior Golfers
There is an old saying that our life consists of two parts. The first half part of the life usually consists of all the capacity that we need to enjoy it without any chances. The second half part of our life consists of the chances that are simply left without much capacity to enjoy it. This saying must surely have been said by one of the golf lovers. Most of the golfers in the first half of their life used to have the capacity to simply thwack the ball around 250 yards off the tee easily with one swing. But the works simply kept most of the golfers away from practice grounds so they never got enough chance to play the game.
But after retirement most of them simply tend to come back to the golf course as they only have chance to play but they simply seem to lack all the capacity as it certainly has its limits with the growing age. So how can most of the senior golfers try to increase their capacity as they are left with more time to enjoy the play? One of the senior golfer who is also an avid golfer wrote to me after reading one of my column on the senior golfers. He certainly had included a very good advice for most of the average retiree golfers most of whom are simply not able to break 100 yards.
He wrote that playing at an old age certainly is a different game but tat certainly does not mean that the game cannot be improved. Try to follow certain tips and take up a few lessons from the professional player. It certainly will help you to improve your game. Golf can be perfected by practice, so the more you practice the better you get in this game. I personally think that most of the senior golfers should in fact take a lesson or two from this pro. You should avoid letting your club rest in your bag in the middle of the game. If you need to grove all of your swing then you have to try to swing a club around five to six times a week in your garage, on the lawn, in the living room, but try to be more careful or else you may tend to smash your wife's face.
The more you practice swinging the better hold you get in your game. So if you have not yet practiced harder then its time you get on with your practice. Practice certainly does not mean you need to go to the golf course daily. Observation is a good way of learning. Try to observe the game others play. Try to observe the move they make. You may get a lot of help by observing other peoples moves. Watch the game that women play as they tend to swing their body more slowly as compared to man. You can observe their swinging form much better. Notice their arms and hands. They hang their arms straight down and their hands as very much close to their bodies. Most of them may even choke up on the club to get better control.
In the game of golf control is everything. It makes no difference if you drive 235 or 200 the main objective is that you drive it straight. Try practice putting green other than a fade. You need to have a more flexible body. So try drinking more water as it not only cuts down heat but also adds flexibility by lubricating the joints. Finally you need to try to hit the balls with much longer irons. Try implementing a few things and your game will certainly improve.
Shooting longer distances for seniors
I have been indulged in teaching senior's golf for around 15 years and one of the most common things that most of the older people seem to want is to be able to shoot longer distances. We all know that the most inevitable part of ageing is loss of our strength, speed, and flexibility and so distance is usually lost. That may be true to certain points especially if you have had any injuries in the past of even if you may be living a sedentary lifestyle. But by simply staying active these effects of ageing can be minimized and so a number of things can be done to increase your distance shooting even if you are getting older.
You can certainly increase the level of your fitness including your strength, endurance and flexibility. Gym may certainly be the best option. Try getting started with a weight program at gym as it is certainly recommended. You simply don't have to start with lifting weights just like weightlifters to increase your distance. A moderate program would in fact work its wonder. You can contact a number of good fitness trainers to instruct you and coach you on how to get started. For improving your flexibility yoga would certainly be the best. Attending yoga classes will actually help you to learn the proper method of breathing and make you feel great. For improving your endurance try walking long distances. You need to take care if you start with any new health care programs your medical professional is always aware of it. It has to be certified by him.
In addition to all of your physical programs a little bit of golf lessons are also compulsory. These lessons will simply help you make your swing much more simpler. With age you need to change the style of your swing. You may need some of the better lessons in a repeated period of times. So always try choosing one of the best professional who can give you your golf lessons. These lessons will actually help you develop correct form of swing along with a good mental picture of the swing and feeling. Good and perfect mechanics and right swing concept is what will help you go a long way when speaking of increasing your distance.
It is also very much important that you have the perfect equipments that fit you personally so that you can concentrate on maximizing your potential. Some of the most crucial ingredients in these custom fit equipments are lie angle, shaft flex, overall weight, swing weight, grip size and club length. A number of other variables are also present that certainly does have impact. If you are taking lessons from a professional he can certainly help fit a set for you in few minutes.
So the fact is that just because you are getting aged it does not mean that you are going to hit the ball in the nearby hole. You simply need to decide to get started with the things that we have just discussed. All of these things are very much important if you want to increase your distance so you have to be sure all of this works just fine when combined together. And if you combine everything perfectly and work it out then before you may know you will be hitting more distances and farther away. You just need to keep up with your practice.
A Few Powerful Golf Strategies For Senior Players
Golf certainly is one of the sport where any one can make adjustments as far as age is concerned. When you play the game of tennis a good player in his 20s may certainly succeed in beating a very good player in his 50s. In tracks and race 20s will probably beat a runner in 40s easily. We all know that age certainly has a great impact on all of us. Especially when speaking of sports age makes a lot of difference. But golf is the only game where you can in fact make certain adjustments when age becomes a factor.
Off the “tee” is certainly where making a few adjustments can really pay off when considering old players. Players who are older enough certainly can not give up much yardage to most of the younger players with equally low golf handicaps, and so they are expected to win of course, simply hitting longer drives that is usually off the tee can not simply guarantee with your win in the match, it you may not feel hurt and especially in the case when your shot is straight down the fairway.
So at the time when you start getting older you need to make certain changes in order to keep up with most of the younger players. You need to make few adjustments on the tee. Most important is that you start hitting draw that is usually off the tee. Secondly you can try to change the pattern of your swing so that you may get more power along with better accuracy and be sure it does not hurt your back as most of the aged golfers do. By making these two changes you can be sure that you will be able to play a better game and compete with the young golfers for many years to come.
Most of the trainers agree that hitting a good draw from 15 to 20 yards of the tee is better than hitting a fade. You can try improving your skills. With an iron hitting a draw can be added more efficiently to your swing. It can always be counted as an additional club to your shot. You may also expect to gain an extra yardage with a draw when the ball lands, and this certainly is something that you may not get when you hit a fade.
There is a very simple reason behind gaining extra run. If you simply manage to fade or slice the ball the clubface would simply be open at the impact and this may add loaf to the ball. It may also tend to slide the ball across the clubface meaning you never did compress the ball at impact. But when you hit a draw the clubface is generally closed and you end up taking loaf off the ball helping to make runs. This certainly would compress the ball more at impact and it would add distance to your shot.
So you need to position back in all your stance and strongly grip the position. Then try starting with the club back on the inside allowing your clubface to open at the back of the swing. Now cupping the left wrist try walking through your swing. You need to position the ball perfectly for a good shot and try maintaining your stance. Your position, stance and swing are what work their magic to add distance to your shot. Always try to position your right foot towards the target while hitting the ball. Follow these tips and you certainly can improve your golf.
